|1/4||cup shredded Parmesan cheese|
|3||to 4 tablespoons cold water
Preheat the oven to 375˚F. In a food processor combine the flour, pepper, and cayenne. Add the butter and pulse until the mixture forms crumbs. Add the cheddar cheese, Parmesan, and water; pulse until the mixture forms a ball.
Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and roll into a 9 inch square, about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into 3X1/2 inch strips, making a total of 48.
Place the cheese strips on a large ungreased nonstick baking sheet and bake until golden, about 15 minutes. With a wide spatula, transfer the cheese straws to a rack to cool completely.
